7&0 05:31
There is fate, there are falls And there are moments we'd all take back But I'm done asking for all your forgiveness It is a shame how the seasons creep closer Together every year Because that was the year Because that was the year We were 7&0 We all get along much much better now I think I was running away I was just running away If you'd asked me yesterday I'd have answered much more honestly But it seems that today There's much more that I don't know We were 7&0 I wasn't asking too much Maybe I was asking too little Afraid if I fell out of touch I'd just keep falling We were 7&0

There are truths we all must learn People like the sky Are as fickle as a breeze But I want to be loved I want to be great I want to be all these things If the sky could taste our love Would it open up And swallow everything Or would it soon spit us out Send us all back down south 'Cause our love was just for ourselves And would all these fallen souls Set out on there own To find a new way back To the place they all know To be where lost souls go Where your dreams come down from the shelf In this world we fell into Would we set out like An aimless meteor Or would we circle around One we picked from the crowd To serve five minutes as our star And if you or I were chosen Placed atop the highest peak To look out over the rest Like a dream, like a test Would we fall down, or would we fly Like a system in the sky Planets of our own Race to destinations We can't see as of yet As we try to forget The love that we left behind And if you could go back to The place you and your love would Sit and hold Each other so tight Without wondering why As the breeze brushed your skin so light

The Chase 07:14
I've led and I've followed Thrown punches and rolled Some promises hollow Some promises gold And I know I've got a long way to go I've cursed and I've lauded I've sunk and I've swum Some people play favorites Some people play dumb And I know I've got a long way to go They tell you to line up They tell you to dance You might as well leave it to chance All life's simple answers placed right in your face As long as you give up the chase There ain't no disgrace in that I've wept and I've stood up I've smiled and I've frowned I've seen birds that fly But some still fall to the ground And I know I've got a long way to go I've had many chances I've hit many walls All my darkest thoughts Are what has broken my falls And I know I've got a long way to go They tell you to line up They tell you to dance You might as well leave it to chance All life's simple answers placed right in your face As long as you give up the chase There ain't no disgrace in that When will I know? When will I know?

Julian 03:45
I am ok watching the shadows Dancing before me Can't you see I'm a simple man I'll ask you once more why you'd Hatch such a plan And he replied It's been a long time coming Just seize the day Picture the old guard beggars In the streets Julian, why'd you rat on me For little white lies that don't mean anything Are you gonna hide your eyes The day the kingdom crashes down There's a cloud draped over this castle I can admit it And a deep moat around it's base But I'm still alive Isn't there safety in this place And he replied It's been a long time coming And it's hard to see Just where it's gonna lead But won't we be free Julian, why'd you rat on me For little white lies that don't mean anything Are you gonna hide your eyes The day the kingdom crashes down And he replied It's been a long time coming And it's hard to see Just where it's gonna lead But won't we be free Julian, why'd you rat on me For little white lies that don't mean anything Are you gonna hide your eyes The day the kingdom crashes down

I won't say anything I won't say anything at all I will be quiet I will be silent It wasn't anything It wasn't something I can't handle on my own It wasn't what you think I can't be listening to those Who'd tell me why Those who would try It wasn't anything It wasn't something I can't handle on my own You gave me what you could I should have known That I was on my own We all should take some time To find our role And place it in our soul And when you see You will not see light You will not see heaven And all it's might And when you go You will not go home To the place you started And laughing poems And when you find What you're looking for It will not be answers It will not be doors But you will see And you will go You may not find But you will show And you will not Be on your own You will not be All alone You are not alone You are not alone You are not alone

about

"Equipped with a CV of sideman duties for Okkervil River, White Denim, and Polyphonic Spree, multi-instrumentalist Mike St. Clair steps into his own experimental universe as Pocket Sounds. Layers of horn and synth escort the genre-swaying composer's tranquil vox, striking in a careful, unhurried elocution. Propelled by a drum-machine heartbeat ("7&O") and looping folk echo ("You Are Not Alone"), the jazz-trained local shapes electronic sonics to leave an organic impression."

-RACHEL RASCOE, AUSTIN CHRONICLE

“What we have here, quite frankly, is something alluringly complex. And magnificent.”

-LAURIE GALLARDO, KUTX
